The Workers’ Compensation Research Institute (WCRI) has released additional details about its annual conference (March 10th-11th) agenda, including a panel on opt-out programs. The first panel will provide an overview about “what opt-out is and what it is not” featuring Trey Gillespie, senior workers’ compensation director for the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America and Bill Minick, President of PartnerSource, a company that writes opt-out plans for large employers in the states that have the system. The second panel focuses on individual perspectives and includes: Bruce Wood, vice president and associate general counsel for the American Insurance Association (AIA); Elizabeth Bailey, vice president of workers’ compensation & safety at Waffle House, Inc.; Alan Pierce, president of the Workers Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG); and James Mills, director of workers’ compensation at the Oklahoma Insurance Department.
