The Louisiana Workforce Commission announced that Louisiana’s not seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for October dropped to 4.3 percent. This figure is a full percentage point lower from September’s rate of 5.3 percent. Compared to the same time last year, Louisiana’s not seasonally adjusted unemployment rate is 1.6 percent lower. May 2008 was the last time the not seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was this low.
