New information reported in a special issue of JAMA Internal Medicine dedicated to financial conflicts found that money from pharmaceutical companies can creep into unexpected places including physician social media feeds. The issue features two original investigations, two research letters, and an invited commentary. Overall, nearly 80 percent of those surveyed said that conflicts of interest were “very or moderately relevant” to their organization; however, only 55 percent reported that their written policies were “very good,” and just under 8 percent said they perceived pressure to align their interests with corporate donors.
