A corn flour mill in Muleshoe, Texas has been cited for thirty three serious violations after an OSHA inspection revealed dangerous accumulations of combustible grain dust. In its statement, OSHA explained that “grain dust accumulation, in the right combination of particle size, air and an ignition source, can expose workers to possible explosions.” The mill, operated by Minsa Corp., was also cited for exposing workers to electrical shock hazards. Proposed fines total $151,200.
