The Florida Third District Court of Appeal will hear oral argument on March 30 in the landmark Padgett case, in which Judge Cueto’s decision out of Miami circuit court declared Florida’s workers’ comp system unconstitutional. Florida’s Attorney General Pam Bondi, is appealing the ruling to the state’s appellate court, although there has been controversy over whether or not she has been officially made a defendant in the case. The case is now referred to as State of Florida v. Florida Workers’ Advocates.
