Real average hourly earnings for all employees on private nonfarm payrolls increased 0.8 percent from November 2017 to November 2018, according to new Bureau of Labor Statistics numbers. The change in real average hourly earnings, combined with a 0.3-percent decrease in the average workweek, resulted in a 0.5-percent increase in real average weekly earnings over this period.
