In economic news:

The 2.9 million nonfatal injuries and illnesses suffered by private industry workers on the job in 2016 occurred at a rate of 2.9 cases per 100 full-time equivalent workers nationally, according to new BLS numbers. Workers in 21 states experienced rates higher than the national average. Rates ranged from 1.5 cases per 100 workers in the District of Columbia to 4.7 cases in Maine.
