Six states have published adoption dates for the new Claims Release 3.1 Standard by the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions. IAIABC is the leader in development of electronic data interchange standards for the transmission of workers’ compensation data in the U.S. The most commonly used standard is IAIABC EDI Claims, which is currently implemented in 38 states. In August 2017, the IAIABC published a new release of its Claims Standard, IAIABC EDI Clams Release 3.1. The six states set to use 3.1 are: Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Georgia, Illinois, and Maine.
