Safety National announced its grant awards for creative risk control solutions.
The $10,000 grant was awarded to Yale University to host a series of mobile slip simulator training events. Training will provide hands-on experience to help negotiate slippery surfaces and, when possible, methods to avoid slip, trip and fall exposures altogether.
The $5,000 grant was awarded to Miami Dade County Public Schools to expand Rebuild Me – a program designed to prevent injury, speed return to work, and address comorbidities by encouraging employees to engage in healthier lifestyles.
The $2,500 grant was awarded to SDML Workers’ Compensation Fund to expand their grant program that provides lift equipment for volunteer ambulance, fire and rescue members. This equipment helps to reduce and eliminate back injuries that can result from lifting patients.
