Foodles Productions, the company that produced “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” during its UK filming, has accepted responsibility for workplace safety breaches that resulted in an accident injuring Harrison Ford. Great Britain’s Health and Safety Executive (the country’s national workplace safety and health regulator) said in a press release that Foodles pleaded guilty to two charges; the case will now move to Aylesbury Crown Court, date to be confirmed. Ford, who plays popular strong man Han Solo in the films, suffered a broken leg and other injuries when he was struck by a metal door on the set of the Millennium Falcon. The door’s power mechanism had strength comparable to the weight of a small car and closed rapidly at the time of Ford’s injuries. The incident happened on June 12th, 2014, at Pinewood Studios.
