The fourteenth annual LWCC Kids’ Chance invitational golf tournament raised over $35,000 for the Louisiana Bar Foundation (LBF) Kids’ Chance Scholarship Program. The Kids’ Chance Scholarship Program provides scholarships to dependent children of Louisiana workers killed or permanently and totally disabled in a workplace accident. At the tournament, held at the Country Club of Louisiana in Baton Rouge on September 25, LWCC President and CEO Kristin Wall presented a check for $30,000 to Kids’ Chance Committee Co-Chair Michelle Sorrells and LBF President Valerie Briggs Bargas, who accepted on behalf of the Kids’ Chance Scholarship Program. A final accounting of the tournament and a few unexpected donations brought the total amount raised up to $35,600.
