South Africa-based company Sasol has dropped plans to build an $11 billion to $14 billion U.S. plant in Mossville, just outside of Lake Charles, to convert natural gas to liquid fuels and to pull out of Canadian shale, citing low oil prices and a volatile market. The company had already delayed investment plans for the project in January.
