A new research paper published in this month’s edition of the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine concluded that 15 or more physical therapy sessions in a workers’ comp claim is correlated with a four fold increase in the likelihood that the claim will result in six months or more of lost time. The study assessed 192,197 claims from a Texas workers’ comp insurer.
