House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas) assured the public on Monday that the House will vote this week on a bipartisan bill to renew TRIA, which was killed in the Senate at the end of the last Congressional session. Businesses and the insurance industry have been fighting to bring attention to the issue, since it apparently had bipartisan support previously, but became mired in political maneuvering at the hands of Oklahoma Senator Coburn, who has since retired. The new session officially began on January 3rd, 2015.
