Late last night, the CDC delivered on its promise to provide greater, more stringent guidance for healthcare workers on the donning and doffing of PPE equipment. The procedural bulletin also covers administrative issues such as environmental controls within facilities and selection of appropriate PPE. Unlike the first, widely criticized, round of advisories, the new CDC guidelines emphasize rigorous training of staff and an abundance of caution in diagnostic protocol.
