The National Employment Law Project (NELP) released a position paper in which it argues that continuing along the path of regional/state-based minimum wage will result in artificially low wages in several sectors. NELP describes the $7.25 federal minimum wage, which has remained stagnant for years, as “shamefully low.” NELP, a left-leaning organization, advocates for a $15 minimum wage. Read more here.
