Combined, three Texas companies are facing recent federal penalties totaling more than $277,000 for a range of OSHA violations. During the past two weeks, investigators have cited and fined CPE Feeds Inc. in Lubbock, JFM International Inc. in Willis and Subfloor Systems Inc. in Hurst for hazards including: lack of guarding on machines; exposed energized wires; not providing hearing protection; various chemical and noise exposures; and lack of fall protection during work on a commercial building. CPE Feeds alone was responsible for 22 violations of the 29 total from the three companies.
