The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) recently released its Biennial Report to the 85th Texas Legislature. DWC notes in the report that it has employed new methods to look for “innovative ways to improve its services to system participants” including on-site and single point-of-contact claim services in 20 DWC field offices across the state, free injured employee and employer training on workers’ compensation and workplace safety issues, plain language forms and letters, and certain forms and correspondence made more secure with the removal of Social Security Numbers.
