The case of an employee who was beheaded at the Vaughan Foods processing plant in Moore, Oklahoma last year has been deemed to be workplace related. The employee’s husband has been awarded $100,000 in death benefits plus $418 a week for the rest of his life. Local media reported that the benefits were approved in December for KC Hufford by a judge with the Oklahoma Workers’ Compensation Commission. KC Hufford’s wife, Colleen Hufford, was killed in the September 25th, 2014 attack. According to police, the attack was perpetrated by Alton Nolen, a terminated employee who drove directly from the human resources office to a different part of the facility and attacked Hufford and another women in the front office.
