USPS officials have confirmed that the data breach that occurred in September and revealed 800,000 postal workers’ Social Security numbers and other identifying information, has also made public the medical data for about 485,000 current and former employee workers’ compensation claims. Victims received a letter explaining the evolving situation last month and will be eligible for free credit monitoring.
