American workers are reporting more stress at work than in previous decades. Risk & Insurance investigated the compensability issue of mental health claims and found that more states may be moving toward addressing work stress as a comp issue. According to the Nielsen study cited in the article, low pay, commuting and “unreasonable” workloads were the main three reasons respondents gave for their work-related stress. Overall, 82% of respondents confirmed that at least one thing stresses them out at work.
