In regulatory news:

The Louisiana Department of Insurance announced a new Consumer Complaint Tracking System which has already recovered $2.25 million of claims payments in the first half of 2014 for Louisiana insurance consumers in all areas. The new system allows claimants to check the status of their complaints online at the LDI works through them. Policyholders may also contact the LDI with inquiries on insurance matters or claims and do not have to call about a particular grievance. Between January and June of this year, LDI received 132 complaints in life and annuities, 780 in property and casualty and 549 in health.
