In safety news:

OSHA has released a top 10 list of the most frequently cited construction hazards for 2013, in effort to improve transparency and help the construction industry avoid extremely costly penalties (up to $70,000 for willful and repeat violations.) Of note, OSHA seems to be following through on promises to prioritize fall protection. The most and second-most common citations were: fall protection in residential construction and training in the safe use of ladders, respectively. Fall protection in residential construction has been the number one most cited violation since 2007.
