Statistics recently released by OSHA reveal that in 2014, 73% of whistleblower complaints submitted to the agency were dismissed or withdrawn, according to Safety News Alert. Additional data bears out the trend, with 74% of complaints dismissed or withdrawn over the ten year period between 2005 and 2014. OSHA has been promoting its whistleblower program over the last several years and the report also shows a general increase in complaints submitted – 3% in 2014.
