A report issued by the World Trade Center of New Orleans yesterday found that Louisiana’s exports have increased by 2.76 percent in 2014 compared to 2013. Agricultural products showed an increase by 14.15 percent in 2014 compared to a decrease of 20.28 percent from the previous year. Oilseeds and grains made up the largest percentage of exports of agricultural products totaling $17.7 billion. Officials stated that the increase displays Louisiana’s economic strength and consumers’ desire for American-made products.
